That really depends on the piano and you the pianist. Pianos that are used heavily should be tuned quarterly, while a piano that never gets played should be tuned every 2 years.
I charge $120 for a 2 hour service call. Sometimes a piano will need a pitch raise or pitch raises if it has been a while since it was tuned, if it is really flat I prefer seeing a piano a second time to evaluate how well it held the first pitch raise and what other steps might need to be taken to make it stable.
I have tuned pianos that haven't been tuned in decades and while they almost always require multiple tunings, no two pianos have lived the same life. I want your piano to sound good, but not break the bank and I maintain regular communication to check in on those pianos that have seen neglect.
Yes, however my skillset with repairs is not that of a rebuilder. If your piano is in need of soundboard repairs or something of the sort, I can help you get in contact with someone better suited to perform those repairs.
Yep, sticking keys are not a problem and I can usually take care of those during my tuning service. Broken keys are another story and will have to addressed on a case by case basis.
Maybe, it really depends on how violent the moving was and what kind of swings in humidity the piano experienced. Typically a piano should be tuned about a month after being moved, but this isn't always the case, and I am happy to do a diagnostic check to see if it needs to be tuned.
Absolutely, I also tune spinets and would be happy to try and tune a square piano if I find one that is able to be tuned.
Absolutely, I am willing to travel an hour or so from my home in Manteno. I'm routinely in Will County, Iroquois County, and the south side of Chicago. I even have a customer in Sheldon, IL and recently I have been in Indiana.
